No. xCopy at the C> prompt or in a batch file doesn't care if the database is 
connected or not.
The thing that can happen is that the database is being updated at the time the 
xcopy runs, and
then we have a synch problem, and lose a row of data or two. A row or two is a 
whole lot better
than a whole day's work.
