Dawn, Was your report based on a view? That's where I am having a problem.

Bernie,
I'm not seeing that on my end. Using same release. Added a field to a
report (detail section), previewed ok, closed the report (yes to save
changes) and reopened. It was still there. Do you get the 'Do you want
to save your changes' prompt when closing?
Dawn

I just tried it in ConComp based on SalesByEmployee and it did the same thing. I am using release 80.30330 Bernie Lis ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dawn Oakes" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "RBG7-L Mailing List" <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, April 05, 2005 4:02 PM Subject: [RBG7-L] - RE: Disappearing db's in report
Bernie Do you mean gone when you run the report or in the designer? Dawn

I placed a DBEdit into the detail section of a new report. The column comes from a view. I preview the reports in report designer and I see the col that I placed with values in it. There is nothing else in this report except that one data element. I close the report, save it, reopen and it's gone!!!! anyone know what could be going on?
