I already submitted it, Maybe they will figure out that it is sticking, and make them visible, I checked that visible was checked.
also in 7.1 if you print the report, it doesn't show up.
So there's definitely a bug there somewheres.

Hey Bernie - correction. They're sticking, you just can't see them.
I viewed my changed report with release 80.30330 and you can't see the db edits. I accessed the same modified report using release 79 and my newly added db edits are there.

Bernie
OK - that's a problem! Report it. I can confirm that on a report that's based on a view, db edits are not sticking.

Dawn, Was your report based on a view? That's where I am having a problem.

Bernie, I'm not seeing that on my end. Using same release. Added a field to a report (detail section), previewed ok, closed the report (yes to save changes) and reopened. It was still there. Do you get the 'Do you want to save your changes' prompt when closing?

I just tried it in ConComp based on SalesByEmployee and it did the same thing. I located the employee id in the detail section, did a preview and they showed up. closed the report, opened it and the field is gone gone gone! I am using release 80.30330 Bernie Lis ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dawn Oakes" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "RBG7-L Mailing List" <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, April 05, 2005 4:02 PM Subject: [RBG7-L] - RE: Disappearing db's in report
Bernie Do you mean gone when you run the report or in the designer? Dawn

I placed a DBEdit into the detail section of a new report. The column comes from a view. I preview the reports in report designer and I see the col that I placed with values in it. There is nothing else in this report except that one data element. I close the report, save it, reopen and it's gone!!!! anyone know what could be going on?
