Mike

I'm simply trying to establish WHAT control Deb is using. I suspect she's
using the built in Directory Tree control, which will NOT do what she
wants - capture the selected directory in a variable. She needs instead to
use the LOADDIRECTORYNAME.RBL plugin called by a button on the form.  But
before I suggest that, I'm just trying to establish a clear picture of what
she IS doing!
