Razzak, Thanks for your reply. I moved the RBENGINE.DLL and RBIO.DLL from the C:\Windows\System folder into the C:\Windows\System 32 folder. I renamed the files that were in the C:\Windows\System file. The first time I tried to start R:Base, the system crashed totally. After rebooting, RB7.1 now starts in about 15-20 seconds instead of the 60-90 seconds that it taking before. I started it about 5 or 6 times with similar results. During the 15-20 second delay, the cursor appears to be frozen. Can you suggest anything else that I can do to perhaps speed up the process some more?
