Further to my earlier post, I have tried this in the sample database (RRBYW10) editing the Contact table. The same thing happens when I try to edit ContFName in the Row view, for example. (and yes the cursor is at the 6 when I type the 71)  If I edit in the View As Grid mode this works correctly.   Anyone else have such problems with this ?   Regards,   John Docherty -- No virus found in this incoming message.
