I confirm this with the latest release of build 81. Please report to RBTI so they can fix it!

Subject: [RBG7-L] - RE: Editing Using the View As Row Option - 7.5.10.30715

Further to my earlier post, I have tried this in the sample database (RRBYW10) editing the Contact table. The same thing happens when I try to edit ContFName in the Row view, for example. This was also using a different PC, so I assume that this may be a problem to be fixed.

Subject: [RBG7-L] - Editing Using the View As Row Option - 7.5.10.30715

I find when editing a text field using an edit * from …, with the View As Row option, that if I try to enter a character which would overwrite some existing characters, the cursor goes to the end of the existing text, and enters the characters there.

For example, I have a field containing FDY60FV1A – I try to change the 60 to 71 and I get FDY60FV1A71. (and yes the cursor is at the 6 when I type the 71)  If I edit in the View As Grid mode this works correctly.

Anyone else have such problems with this ?

Regards,
