Right! it's not in designer it's in the app. At least give me that much
credit!
I don't know what the problem was but I couldn't wait any longer and just
copied a similar form and made the changes, now it's working.
But I still saved the form, cause I'm curious and when I get some time, I
shall try to figure it out.

in forms design, the field shows up with the proper table.objectname also
in
properties.
Table settings are correct and all is check marked
This is a head scratcher.
