Larry, I had a similar problem a while back with a Lexmark printer. I don't remember exactly what I had to do, but it was at the printer. I had to tell it somewhere in the printer setup to take it's tray instructions from the Software as opposed to using the paper type-to-tray internal instructions. (The printer knew that plain paper was in tray 2, so any time you printed anything with a plain paper setting, it wanted to use tray 2, even if the software said to do manual feed.) I never had any such problem with any other printers, it was just that model.
The other thing, with your PRINT....OPTION PRINTER command: When the command was first introduced I remember it being extremely picky about the spacing surrounding the | symbol. OPTION PRINTER |TRAY Tray 3 would have been ok but OPTION PRINTER | TRAY 3 was not OK. I'm not sure if that's still the case. Hope it helps. Sorry for the duplicate message, here's what I _meant_ to say in my second post: I can't seem to get the HP to print to tray 3 no matter what I do. I've tried called PRNSETUP right before I print, and even selecting Tray 3 from inside the report definition. Keeps coming out a tray 2 no matter what I try. -- Larry
