Thanks for the responses to my problem.   Jan – the report does not utilise sub reports so that is not the cause. If it is, I reported this behavior about a month ago by phone with Razzak. You are right in that the second connection did not have to be doing anything. As soon it connected, reports went from 5 seconds to 5 minutes. This was only on sub-reports. When I look at Task Manager the RBG75 process is using only about 3% of the CPU, (system idle is the only other significant process at 97% or thereabouts).
