Thanks for your response Jay. I'd found Paula's email and followed it
sort of loosely yesterday.
This morning, however, before downloading, I deleted the
RBG71_HelpFiles_Partn.exe's and all the *.CHM files in the RBG7 server
directory and turned off all anti-virus software. I downloaded the
RBG7_HelpFiles and installed them and still have the problem when I try
to access... oops, sorry, use any help in 7.1.81.31005 - "Action
Cancelled". The CHM files are in W:\RBTI\RBG7 where RBG7.EXE and all
the other files are located; I used the server install option and start
RBase with -a.
I noticed I'm having the same problem in the evaluation version of 7.5
also. So I uninstalled 7.5 and reinstalled it (server opotion) and have
the same "Action Cancelled" problem; running RB 7.5 with -a option.
I've checked "Help" in other critical apps - Solitaire, Netscape, Norton
- and they work ok.
I'm running Win2K and Novell 5.1 and couldn't find "UNBLOCK" button at
the bottom of the Properties box.
Anyone have any ideas?
TIA,
Doug

Doug, This was a problem a while ago and has to do with Windows blocking.
Below is a copy of Paula Stuart's note to me. Following this outline worked
fine.
Have you tried re-downloading with the XP security off? Have you checked
the PROPERTIES? By Right clicking on one of the help files (after they're
downloaded? They should all say that the application is HTML Compiled Help
and at the bottom of the Properties box check to see if you have a button
that says "UNBLOCK". If it's there, click it to unblock the file. I had to
unblock each file individually.
I'd also recommend deleting all the .chm files before you re-download rather
than just writing over the old files. That is the combination of steps that
worked for me.....

The tabs (Contents,Index, Search, etc) on the left work properly in RB and

How can I get the Help text to display again in RB 7.1?
