Jim, I have two clients running on a peer - peer network and it works fine.
I dedicate one of the PCs as a pseudo server. In both cases they have six
users. They have both been operating in this configuration for more than 10
years, starting with DOS 2.0.

Call me if you want to discuss.

Subject: [RBG7-L] - peer to peer

Good day to all:

I was recently talking with a client who is running rb45++, on a single
stand-alone workstation. They have a need to go to two workstations, so
I suggested a small server with two workstations, using RB7.5 and 1 LAN
pack. Their IT guru suggested going peer to peer with two workstations
(no server - to cut costs) , and buying two standalone versions of 7.5..

My question for you is, is this possible ? (I have never done peer to
peer), and does it work well ?
If it does work, do I have to jump through hoops to make it work ?
Or are they being foolish, trying to save a few dollars ?

Thanks in advance
