Thanks, -- Forrest (Iowa City) Ron Lau converted his 26" wheel A/R to 650B and reported that it was a great improvement. My A/R has its old 26" wheels but I have pondered trying the conversion just to see. Ideally I'd like to borrow a pair of suitable wheels for a week; I am concerned about (1) fit, although with the massive amount of clearance those frames have this is almost certainly a non-issue and (2) handling effects from the larger wheels. Ron, however, was very positive about this conversion. http://www.cyclofiend.com/cc/2005/cc006-ronlau0505.html http://www.freewebs.com/650b/ronsallrounder.htm My interim solution is to use Panaracer Pasela tires, which have been the best rolling tires I have found for this size wheel. I am currently using the 26 x 1.25 non-TG tires. I might try the 1.4 at some point. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
