Thanks for the offer.  How much shorter is the quill on a Pearl?  Perhaps
the better question is how far from the min. insert line to the bottom of
the forward extension?  So far no offers for a Tech Dlx...

P.S.  The powdercoater said he has had great luck doing stems and that he
goes light on the part that will be in the steerer.
