Many of the men who post on this list are bigger/heavier than I am,
and I think that the benefits of wider tires are more obvious and
apparent than to a lightweight like myself.  I generally weigh between
155-160 pounds, and I'm trying to find the best equipment for my bike
based on my needs.  I have noticed that the 31 mm Avocets handle very
well on the fire trails, but that may be related to my weight.  A
buffer/heavier guy may require a wider tire for the same feeling.
Just a thought.
