After seeing comments about the various acorn bags I took a look at their website. They have some really nice stuff. I decided since it was windy and rainy and cold to give myself a challenge and see if I could make something similar to Acorn's 2 strap bag but w/o the leather. I'm still learning a lot about sewing as I go but I thought this was a reasonable facsimile for an amateur:
