I just completed my commute on my AHH after spending the past few weeks
commuting on my racing bike (full carbon fork, SRAM Red, Carbon bars, etc). The
AHH easily outweighs the racing bike by a good 7 pounds, but on my commute
which is mostly flat with a 1.5 mile climb at the end of it, I found that it
went just as fast on the flats and climbed just as fast. If anything, I don't
feel as beat up as usual this morning. Larger tires, more comfy geometry,
despite more weight can be a beneficial thing. The longer I go on the bike, the
more I feel I benefit from the "Country Bike" style. I would imagine that the
same would be true in a race of this sort.

My 2 pennies,

Joe
