I have had my QB for 4 years and it is the perfect city bike, trainning bike and light touring bike. It doesn't need shifty gears because the three manual gears it has are enough. I have ridden it fxed and free and even used the low gear once or twice when I had big headwinds on the ride home. I bought the QB because of it's simplicity and have loved riding it as it was designed.
Of course that is just my opinion.
