I purchased two of the Nitto stainless bottle cages when Rivendell
first introduced them. They are very beautiful, and enhance the
appearance of a bike (I had them mounted on my 1996 Riv Road
Standard). Unfortunately, I didn't find them to be particularly
sturdy for my use. I often have occasion to carry my bike upstairs,
quite frequently I'd find my arm or shoulder would bend the thin cage
out of shape. I reverted back to my stock of NOS T.A. water bottle
cages, and haven't looked back. The T.A. bottle cages are classic in
appearance and extremely sturdy. Just my 2 cents.
