The Root is a very pretty paved trail in a charming, limestone-bluff-
lined river valley in SE Mimnesota -- I think it's about 40 miles or
so for the main part, with a couple other spurs of several miles each.
A friend from St. Paul and I rode the length of it and back last May
and had a marvelous, relaxed trip.  -- Forrest (Iowa City)
