Steve and Michael, thanks for the responses. I doubt I'd go with the Pauls. I actually have the parts to gear up the Surly so that's not such an issue. And Steve, I think you're right, I'm probably just over thinking things. But it's so slow here at work today...
I can't see myself having more than 20lbs of gear.
