Hey Terry, Good to “meet” you again – I was the mystery rider on the green QB and my friend Debra was riding her Glorius. There definitely IS a growing population of Rivendell owners in Chicago – it’s a great city for living without a car and getting around via bike and/or public transportation.
Rob S. (who replied to your message here) is the one who introduced me to RBW several years ago on a Chicago Cycling Club ride. I was riding a too-small-for-me XO-1, and he told me about Grant’s new company…and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since. I’m now up to 4 bikes (QB, Atlantis, AHH, and Rambouillet) and yes, at times feel sheepish trying to rationalize/explain how each one serves a need. Thanks for saying hi…and hope to see you out there again! Joe PS….on Chicago bike shops, Marcus @ Yojimbo’s Garage is a great guy and has a wonderful shop!
