In my brief (a few months) experience with 650B, I've found that the tires make a huge difference. I started with Col de la Vie tires, then switched to Hetres. Night and day difference--the Hetres are fast, smooth, and comfortable, and so far now flats (damn! now I'm sure to get one!)
