Hey All - I've seen a couple instances in the past couple weeks of spam-posts slipping into the list. They are reasonably offensive and I appreciate those members who have brought them to my attention quickly.
As you may know, all posts from new members are moderated, so I'm supposed to see a copy of any email from them. Now, I will say that I do see and delete a fair number of these types of emails, but it appears that a few slip through. This one did not get stopped by the filter. When I brought up that user to ban them, they still showed as "Moderated". I've passed along the info to google, since it appears that there may be a way to jump stuff to the list, even though a member is moderated. I honestly don't expect a response, but will share it if I get one. Another switch I can flip is to require that all new members email for an invitation to join the group. If the instances of this increases, I may do that, which will have no effect on anyone already subscribed, but will add a step to those who are not. At this point, I don't really want to do that, but will if necessary.
