FWIW, I have a few nicks in my tan Pasela sidewalls from rocks or such, but not cracking or deterioration on them. I'm keeping my on those few areas as the top weave is cut, but the second layer is still fine. Hope it stays that way as I have a bit of tread still (but going fast!).
