In addition to adding tension to the nose bolt, lacing the bottom flaps of
the saddle may also help encourage the top back into form.

I used a Flyer on my Riv for the last couple years.  It was my first
Brooks, and I applied a light application of neatsfoot oil when I got it,
to help it soften more quickly.  My mistake!  The neatsfoot accelerated the
stretch too much (I haven't done that again).

I tensioned the nose bolt and laced the bottom flaps, and now it's more
rideable.  I moved it to my fat bike, where I really appreciate the
springs, and I replaced it with a Flyer Special on my Riv.
