What really nailed it for me is the bottom bracket drop.....50mm!!!  That's 
almost unheard of on old MTB's.  The fact that it's a Trek doesn't hurt, 
either.  My first bike was a 1995 Trek and I'll always be a vintage Trek 
fanboy..
