Got it on my Soma San Marcos with the shimano 105 5800 with 38t wolftooth ring. Rear derailleur is Shimano 5701(gs)
Bought it to do a wide low 1x9 bar end friction set up. I don't like brifters (just preference nothing against them in particular). Has the range I need. Shifting was not a problem at all. Found it hard to find consistent cadence moving through gears. The tooth jumps on the higher gears are big, found myself shifting up, and found my legs just spinning until the bike slowed down enough where I was actually pedaling. This is not a probblem on my San Marcos, which I'm using as an allroad faster bike with bike bags, but my Cheviot and Camargue are using 2x9 and 3x9 respectively. Used a "road link" from wolftooth which extends the rear derailleur out to be able to shift to the 40t, also had to screw in the hi a lot, and screw out the low so the derailleur would shift correctly. B screw tension adjusted accordingly. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
