I did the Katy from Clinton to St.Charles this past September. There is a great guide book. "The complete Katy Trail Guide Book" 10th edition. By Brett Dufur. It is very accurate. It is crushed limestone all the way, but it is hard packed. I'm from Missouri, so I'm used to the heat and humidity. It's worth the trip.
