To clarify Esteban's response, the trail that starts in Martinez is the Contra Costa Canal Trail. It intersects with the Iron Horse Trail in Walnut Creek (very near RBW). The Iron Horse Trail continues to San Ramon.
I'd also recommend the Cross Marin Trail. It's a lovely ride along Lagunitas Creek among the redwoods.
