I highly recommend the Nimitz Way trail in Tilden Park, Berkeley. I rode
there with my son the day before yesterday and the views as well as the
trail are awesome. It has some roller sections with climbs and descents, so
you'll have fun pulling the trailer as well. Plenty of space and benches
everywhere to enjoy the views while the kids play around you. If you park on
Inspiration Point, the trailhead is right there and you don't even have to
ride on the street. The trail is paved for about 5 - 5.5 miles and it's an
out & back ride. After the paved trail ends, there is a gravel trail but
when we were there, the gate to continue was locked.
