I think it's the combination of the sun race shifters and the Altus derailler. I was using the same shifters with an XTR derailler and had 0 problems with mis shifts. As soon as I hooked up the Altus I've experienced the same shifting problems as everyone else, especially under load. It's a good enough derailler but the combination just doesn't work well
