The owner of Free Range Cycles (great shop incidentally, Rivendell, Surly, common sense, etc.) here in Seattle has a pair of the touring shoes, and they're beautifully made. The quality is evocative of the old kangaroo Maressi shoes from the mid-80's, which were unparalleled. After seeing them in person, the price / performance combination is hard to beat.
