Hi Zed, Not what you're asking, but I'd get a 25.4mm stem. I really don't care for shimming handlebars and would rather get the appropriate clamp size stem. I think folks' use the Loctite trick for sleeved bars, which a shimmed Bosco would be similar to. David Chicago
