I have a size 11 1/2 foot. I used the SOMA Oppy toe clips (copies of the old Weinmann design) MKS Touring pedals with a flip tab installed. Always worked great. I did not tighten the straps and did not use cleated shoes. That said, l recently got a knee issue solved and have been using Shimano SPD dual sided pedals (1 side platform, 1 side clipless) and gave up the clips and straps. While the platform is nothing on the SPD pedal to write home about, it works when I want to take a short ride in flip flops or street shoes. I like the SPD connection especially on longer rides and extended climbs.
