It is just a matter of preference, I for instance do not like the more 
responsive handling of 26" wheels with road tires (<38mm) on bikes I've 
tried (X0-3, Atlantis, MB-3). The larger the wheel the more gyroscopic 
stability will be imparted to the steering. Some may like this and some may 
not. I like it up to the 700x35 and 650bx42mm that I have tried.
