Great suggestions! Ok, I think I'm going to give new grips a try first and see 
if that helps. The cork grips have to go anyway. They look great and have a 
nice feel but they are really fragile. One of them has the end busted off now 
and that's the second time that's happened. The MAP bar does look, to my eyes, 
to be similar to the Jones and I don't like the idea of an adapter, so that's a 
possibility. I actually tried a Jones on a Surly at the Rivish LBS, for about a 
90 second ride. I'm apprehensive about flat bars. It seems like there would 
basically only be one hand position.
