I rode my Sam on 20 miles of trails and fire roads yesterday. Every other bike I saw was a suspended mountain bike. I was totally comfortable the entire time. I also ride it almost every day around town. It is my bike for everything but touring, and I've even considered that it would probably work for that fine too. My wife bought herself an older orange canti Sam (first bike i didn't force upon her), and she likes hers a lot too. Disclaimer: I don't care about going really fast.
