Those B356 M bars look great! I'm VERY interested in those to use on my 
Trek 400 commuter / dirt / toodle-arounder. 

Here's another idea:  get a longer DirtDrop stem and mount some "North 
Road" style bars upside down... kinda like 
this: http://bikejerksmpls.blogspot.com/2009/11/ibis-scorcher_7440.html 

I found that the upside-down "North Road" style bar even lets me fit road 
brake levers.

(these also work with road levers in a pinch, but may be more comfortable 
with MTB levers – just have to make sure it's a 23.8 mm clamp diameter)...
