Sounds like the distributor cap and ht leads got wet, either humidity (most 
likely) or a deep puddle. Pop the cap off, spray with WD40 and give the ht 
leads a spray as well. 

Missing caused by water shorting the electrics. This is a common problem where 
I come from in England and we all carried a can of WD40 in the boot. I thibk 
electrics are better now 25 years later, but it still happens. 

Some of that blue disposable and absorbant shop towel you buy in rolls at the 
auto parts store can be used to dry the inside of the distributor cap very 
effectively.
