I rode a friend's Quickbeam a few years ago. I enjoyed it. I ended up buying an All-City Space Horse frameset and having that built into a single-speed. It has canti brakes and semi-horizontal dropouts. I like the way it rides more than the QB. <shrug> Different build and personal preference probably have more to do with it than anything else.
