Hi all, just starting the process of culling the closet, drop me a line if
you’re interested in anything, I’m in the Washington DC area.

All prices below are before shipping--if you want something please send me
a message with your zipcode and i will calculate totals. if you buy more
than one item then i will combine shipping. I will charge you actual USPS
shipping--I’m on the east coast so shipping will be less the closer you are
to me.

there is a photoset here -> https://goo.gl/photos/9NfCPWYZ6BJEL13f6

If you want more photos of an item, please let me know. If you want to
make me an offer I won’t be offended, but don’t be offended if i don’t
reply. Please send all messages privately, if you’re reading via a
smart-phone, you may need to switch to the desktop version (link at the
bottom of your browser), to reply directly.

For payment, i accept either Google Pay (preferred) or PayPal. I will
leave it up to you based on your comfort level on the type of paypal to use.

And a few terms to keep in mind.

   -

Send an email directly to work out terms, posting a reply does not
reserve an item. I will not be able to reply to everyone, but i will
update the post once something sells. If i don’t get back to you, assume
that someone beat you to it.
   -

After we agree on terms i expect/give you 24 hours to send payment
(unless other arrangements are made). Then i will go-on to the next person.
   -

Normally i ship within 1-2 days, however if i’m travelling for work it
may be delayed up to a week (ships on the weekend). I will let you know at
time of payment, if getting the item is time critical, please bring this up
   before payment.

FS: Bags

Berthoud 372 Panniers (Gray), $300

This is largest of the Berthoud panniers. It has a 49 liter capacity.
There is a large compartment and a smaller pocket on the outside. These
expand with the side-lacing so they store pretty flat when empty but expand
and can hold quite a bit--especially with the top loading. Note that these
panniers are designed to be used as lowrider fronts. Berthoud specifically
states that they are for front lowrider mounting. If you try to use them as
a rear, you may have heel clearance issues. Despite the warning from
Berthoud i use these on a RBW Hillborne + Nitto Big Back Rack with no heel
clearance issues (size 11 feet). The Nitto BBR has a really long top
platform so i’m able to push the bag pretty far back, YMMV on whether you
can do the same. If you’re comparing this to the current version of this
bag, pay attention to the pictures of the retaining system (i believe these
are the RK style), i think Berthoud has updated them recently. If you’re
comparing to the ones at Compass--don’t, they have Berthoud make their
version of this bag with leather straps instead of the camlocks for the
retaining system, though the rest of the bag looks to be the same.

As far as condition, there is some light wear on the leather trim and some
rubbing on the back of the bags. Some of the straps are starting to curl,
there are a couple spots where the piping is starting to wear slightly, the
only condition issue is that the previous owner wore through part of the
reflective material on one of the bag sides (perhaps from the
aforementioned heel clearance issue). My plan was to repair it with
reflective tape but it never bothered me enough to address it. I love the
look of these bags (they look great on my french postal inspired bike) but
i just don’t use them enough. Here’s a pic of them on my Hillborne,

Berthoud 604 Saddle Bag + Rack: $200

Used for a few seasons but switched to a front-loader. This includes the
special rack that bolts onto the seatpost. Even though i’m not using the
bag the rack is still mounted to my bike so this will take an extra day or
two to ship.

Brooks Challenge Tool Saddle Bag, Black, $25

This is the small leather tool bag, i picked this up second hand and one of
the bolts had come undone on one of the straps, i replaced it with a nut
and bolt, you can see the bolt on the inside. There are some scratches and
wear on the leather, it could use a good polish. The straps are a little
dried out and stretched out, but it still feels like it will hold.

Baggins Handlebar Bag: $75,

I believe this is the pre-cursor to the hobo bag, it looks a little smaller
then a true hobo bag and the pockets on the front are different, this one
has 1 big pocket instead of two separate ones on the front, with a single
flap. Some light grease stains on the bottom where it got close to the
tire (looks worst in pics). Otherwise in very good condition, the leather
is still really dark. You can use this without a rack or decaleur (and i
don’t think using a rack would actually help) the bag sways as you
pedal--but there are d-rings on the corners in the front where you could
secure it with some twine, will work with drop bars the best. You can get
this to work with alba and moustache bars but it will require some creative
arrangements with twine to the brake levers to secure it.

Shimano LX V-Brake, $8

Single v-brake (1 wheel), the pads are nearly worn down so you’ll need to
replace soon, no pics but will take some if you really need them.

Silver Bar-End Shifters and Pods, $50

A little bit of shop-wear but never mounted.

GranCompe Shifters on Silver Pods, $50

New, never mounted

IRD Top Shifter Mounts: $50

Used, please read-up on these and think about what shifters you want to
use, as-is these would work with non Shimano shifters (Shimano shifters
need a special washer, which Riv sell). I mounted a set of Suntour DT
shifters, right side was fine but left side was a little loose--would need
an additional washer/shim. You may not have that problem but FYI.

Suntour Accushift DT Shifters (7sp or friction): $7

Used

Suntour DT Shifters (friction): $15

Pure friction, these are not sprints, and do not have the ratchet

Shimano 105 Short Cage Rear Der: $25

Used, all silver

Panaracer Pasela (almost) matched Pair: $45

This is an almost matching pair, 1 700X35 wirebead tire that’s been fitted
and ridden a few miles, the center whisker is still there. 1 700X38
folding tire that’s NIP. The protective plastic is still on the side
printing, both are skinwall but one has red logo and one has blue if that
affects your matching sensibilities! Would like to keep these together due
to shipping costs of tires but if you just want one let me know and i’ll
get back to you if no-one takes the pair.

Vittoria Randonneur Hyper 700X38 Pair: $60

New, never mounted

Brooks Team Pro (Eroica 2015) $100

This is the special edition Eroica version from 2015, it is honey-brown,
copper rivets, silver rails, no bag loops and has an imprint on the top.
The box is a little beat up but this has never been mounted on a bike.

Nitto M12: $50

Used rack for Canti-Brakes.

Paul Brakes Canti-Bolts for Racks: $15 ($10 if you buy with M12 rack)

Special bolts if you want to mount a rack to the canti-bosses with Pauls
Canti Brakes (Touring/Neo-Retro)

Velo Orange Grand Cru Quill Stem: $50

See specs at VO:
https://velo-orange.com/collections/stems/products/grand-cru-quill-stem

120MM extension, super shiny, a few fine scratches from handling, but never
mounted, no insertion marks. Has a mount for a temple bell.

Velo Orange Grand Cru 50.4 BCD Cranks, 170mm: $90

Used briefly, but there are quite a few fine scratches on the arms. I
believe there have been a few versions of these but i can’t date these (if
anyone knows how please let me know!) If you need a 113 BB i’ll sell you a
shimano one for an additional $15

Honjo 700cc Hammered Al Fenders (H47): $90

New in package, these are marked H47 from Honjo and the label says they
would fit 700x38-42 tires. May take a few extra days to ship while i find
a proper box!

Spoon Saddle: $15

Came off my brompton, not bad for a non-brooks saddle!

Silca Impero Pump: $12

Fits on most of my bikes, which are in the 56-58 range
