I for one hate disc brakes, especially hydraulic disc brakes. Every time I remove a wheel I have to readjust the brakes and it is difficult to see the disc/pad interface to adjust them, Bleeding them is also a PITA. I have zero problems with sidepull, centerpull, catilevers and drums - simple to adjust, no bleeding necessary. Not fond of V-brakes either. But I have been working on the old stuff for fifty years. I am not opposed to all new technology - I love belt drive.
