I'll be there on my orange Quickbeam with my son and our friends. We park on Staten Island and coming over on the ferry for the 2nd wave start, so look for us if you're doing the same. I think this is our 8th year for my friend and I. And the 7th year for my son. he use to ride the back of the tandem, but now rides his own single speed Holdsworth .
As far as the bike traffic goes, I'll take it any day over car traffic! Bumping into another cyclist and falling over is much better than being run over by a car.
