That's a wild rough-stuff setup on your Hilborne! As an owner of both a 
Hilborne and an older model Hilsen, both are wonderful bikes. You would not fit 
48's on the latter, though. I use my Hillborne as a fendered tourer with 35 mm 
tires because of the (slightly) stiffer tubing. The Hilsen is used as a 
fendered mixed-terrain bike with 38 mm tires, but carry very little weight on 
it. It has a bit more lively feel than the Hilborne. I love them both.
