Philip, as it’s been in our country for ages, we have some natural immunity to influenza. We have none to COVID-19. COVID-19 is a virus new to us, with a much higher death rate than flu, and unknown long-term effects. We are trying “flatten the curve” so as not to cause a collapse with our healthcare system, and we’re already behind the 8 ball. See Italy.
