I can't get anyone in my family to ride with me! About twice a year I can talk me son into coming along, but his "butt hurts" for 3 days afterwards. My wife is from the Philippine provinces where they believed that a girl riding a bicycle might lose her virginity so she never learned to ride and my daughter the former gymnast & figure skater has convinced herself that she can't ride a bike! The silver lining of this cloud is I typically can ride when & for as long as I like. 30 miles on a one speed Cruiser may sound like a lot, but my average speed was 10+ mph; if I was on my Clementine for that loop my average speed would have been almost 1 mph slower. Why? No idea!
