It appears that Jan's post was taken down. Either he took it down himself
or the moderator did.

For those of you that missed it , Jan is offering to pass on the revenue
from Bicycle Quarterly subscriptions to Black Lives Matter

If his original post was taken down by anyone other than Jan, I find this
deeply disturbing.

There are currently active posts on this RBW Owners Bunch google group
related to fly fishing rods, "wrenching for the homeless" , Nikon cameras
and someone seeing advice on a recumbent bike for their dad

None of those are really in line with what this group is supposed to
discuss.

Jan is offering a magazine that most, if not all, members would be
interested in and letting the group know that currently he's donating those
funds to an organization. Grant has done similar promotions to inspire
his customer base to buy items that would benefit a cause.

If the cause Jan is supporting doesn't appeal to you, then don't buy the
magazines. But, if this group can't handle the content of Jans' post or
is somehow offended by the prospect of supporting Black Lives Matter, then
that is a sad reflection on the nature of this online community.

I suspect this group is comprised of *mostly* older white men. That is
important to keep in check when analyzing why this post may have been
removed.
I would like to know why it is gone.
I do hope Jan removed it himself.
