I’m considering two options for a lock-and-chain setup, to be used for locking my bike when I'm at the hardware store, getting groceries, and such.

I recently tried a 12mm chain <https://groups.google.com/g/rbw-owners-bunch/c/VkJIxFvq_x4/m/U7ozcKVECAAJ> but it was nearly 15 pounds! Two Kryptonite U-locks weigh 8.9 lbs. Thoughts, suggestions, experience? How have other folks have resolved the security-to-weight equation?
