I know that regret for not buying up more instances of a good cheap part.
I have a stockpile of short cage XT rapid rise RDs, and will content myself with those. They don't have the super sweet big pulleys though. On the big pulley front I have two Altus RDs, which were practically free and shift incredibly well, but those are not rapid rise. I also have one of the RDs that Rivendell sold briefly that also has big pulleys like the Altus, is not rapid rise and is maybe one or two steps up from Altus, so it has a little bit more alloy construction and a little less stamped steel and plastic.
